The Transition

Oh. My. Goodness. This girl was up and at the gym at 6 this morning. My life is changing even more and I'm enjoying this more than I ever thought I would.

It's been a few weeks since I blogged last. I told you that I was going to start Weight Watchers and my goal was to lose 3.75 lbs a month. In 2 weeks, I've lost 5.2 lbs (and that's without the gym). Keeping track of everything I put in my mouth has been quite the eye opener!! I never realized how much junk I was actually eating. I'm doing pretty good to eat all of my points every day and if I go over, I've started back in the gym, so it's ok. The best part about this whole ordeal is that I'm eating REAL FOOD. I can't imagine eating that stuff that they send you for like Nutrisystem and stuff like that. I never thought I would be able to give up cheese on my Subway sandwich, but it really has been an easy transition.

I'm already starting to notice a difference and people that see me everyday are telling me that they are noticing too. My shirts don't fit as tight, my pants are a little looser and for the first time in a year, my thumb ring fits!!

I used to make the excuse that I've got "this and that" to do after work, I don't have time for the gym today. Well, I learned today that that excuse is no longer valid. I got my fat butt up at 5:30 this morning and was at the gym by 6. The hard part was getting up, but once I was up, it really wasn't all that bad. I actually enjoyed the gym more this morning than I do in the afternoons. Work is now offering a walking group and a Biggest Loser competition. I joined today. I don't even care if I win, but it's one more group that is holding me accountable and I like that. Being able to share this journey with my friends and family has been amazing. They are making this new lifestyle of mine a very easy transition. Without their support, it would be very hard.

I'm very excited about this new lifestyle and can't wait to share more about the changes!
