Nap Needed
This weekend was a blur of sorts. Maybe I can sort it out here. So here's a look into what my weekend looked like:
Friday:
Woke up late, 10ish. Ran some errands, got some lunch, came home and took a nap. Woke up, ran some more errands for the showers that I would be attending/hosting this weekend. Around 8, I started making chicken salad sandwiches and cutting fruit. Around 10, I went over to my friend Jennifer's, who also happens to be my most favorite hairdresser ever and she put some feathers in my hair. Came home, finished the fruit and chicken salad sandwiches, and then sat up all night with my roommates. Around 3 am, I realized what time it was, and finally went to bed around 3:30.
Saturday:
Woke up at 7:45 am to put the chicken salad on the sandwiches. Took a shower, got ready and was at the shower venue by 9:45. Anna had a lot of people show up for her baby shower and it just showed that she has a lot of people that love her and can't wait to meet Baby Hunter. Finished up around 1:30, went home laid down for a little while, then proceeded to my Coldstone date with Anna around 3, did some shopping that she needed to do and we went home. I was home by 4:30, and laid down to take a nap at 5. This nap turned into my night's sleep, because I did not wake up until 11. Realized what time it was, went back to sleep.
Sunday:
Woke up around 3 am, went back to sleep around 5, and then woke back up around 10 am. I got about 15 hours of sleep. Got up, got showered and dressed and headed off to Michelle's wedding shower. She had a decent turnout as well and has a lot of people that are supporting her and Bryan in their new lives together. That shower was over somewhere around 3, I was gone by 4. Headed back to my place to pack my stuff and then off to housesit for some of the coolest animals around. Watched some tv and was in the bed at a decent hour last night.
Basically I didn't stop all weekend. I need another nap, and this time, I just want a simple nap, not another 15 hour sleep session. I'm glad I got to see everyone this weekend, that was nice. I can't wait for the upcoming months, babies and weddings galore!! First wedding, is Martha's. Then Ginny's, then Michelle's, then Anna is gonna have a baby!! YAY!!

I AM...
So as I was reading Whitney's blog like I normally do, I was inspired by today's post. So inspired in fact, that I have already written one post today, but I felt the urge to write another one. She encouraged her readers to write about who they are and focus on the postives, instead of all the negative stuff that we usually focus on. So if you are reading this and you blog too, feel free to do this as well.
- I am a Christian.
- I am blessed.
- I am happy.
- I am a daughter.
- I am a sister.
- I am a best friend.
- I am a hard worker.
- I am a Gamecock fan.
- I am a blogger.
- I am a dreamer (I have a huge imagination).
- I am a dancer.
- I am a college graduate.
- I am always on time (most of the time, when I don't turn my alarm clocks off).
- I'm smart.
- I make people laugh.
- I am getting healthier and more fit by the day.
- I am compassionate.
- I am a dog lover.
- I am an Alpha Delta Pi.
- I am straightforward. You get what you see with me.
- I am the go-to-girl.
- I am single and loving it.
- I am learning to be patient.
- I am a listener.
- I am an advisor of sorts.
- I am pretty crafty and creative.
- I can keep a goldfish that I won from the fair back in October alive for months...he's still going strong.
- And you can't spell "awesome" without ME. I am pretty awesome.
Throwback Thursday
I just got really excited that somebody finally commented on my blogs. Granted it was Emily being excited that her picture made it on my blog, but still...it's the little things in life that make me happy. Thanks Em!
I have added some new touches to the blog, and I keep tweaking it every now and then, so I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am.
I am looking forward to the weekend. I have a lot going on and can't wait for it to all take place. Saturday we will be celebrating Anna and Baby Hunter at her baby shower and then Sunday, we get to celebrate Michelle at her wedding shower as she gets ready to get hitched in October. AND I get to housesit for some of my most favorite people this coming week too. So look forward to lots of stories next week regarding this weekend.

Throwback Thursday:
Full House was my absolute favorite show growing up. And yes, I still watch re-runs. It's a classic for sure.
And since Full House ended in 1995, I figured I'd throw in a song from around that same time. Oh boy, I remember my friends and I made up a dance to this song and did it in her living room like we were superstars. Enjoy!

Today is Your Day
This song is one of the alarms that I have set for myself in the mornings. Thought I would share it with you.
And on another note: I really didn't want to go to the gym yesterday. After I got off work, all I wanted to do was go home and go to bed, but I forced myself to go to the gym. I mean, I already had my bag packed why not? I'm so glad I went though. I felt much better when I got done.
It's gonna be another hot one today. Thank you Jesus for the air conditioning. Maybe send a little rain our way too? Just no scary storms please?

This one is for Margaret
So apparently, more people read this thing than I thought. Margaret seemed kind of upset that I haven't blogged in a few days, so this one is for her.
This past weekend, I was way more productive than I have been in a very long time. I woke up Saturday at 7 and was at the gym by 7:45, did the early morning spin class and hated it while I was doing it, but LOVED it when I was done. I felt very accomplished, especially knowing that I had just burned off over 700 calories. I was done by 9:00 and I really wanted a smoothie at this point and nobody in Florence has good ones. Well, Coldstone does, but they don't open until noon. I mean, at least they should open by 10, I feel like, it's summer time. People want their smoothies (and ice cream too). I really miss Smoothie King.
Anyway, I ended up going to wal-mart, picked up some necessary items, and had to wait on my bank to open. I was really upset more people and businesses were not as awake as I was at this point. Then I went back home and did some stuff around the house I was staying at, had everything packed up, cleaned and ready to go by lunch time. Then I spent the rest of my day with my family. I hadn't been over to see them in a while, and that is very unusual for me.
Sunday was my lazy day (Sunday night=not so lazy). I slept late, went to a work party for the faculty and staff of the nursing department because we had 100% passing rate for our nursing students who took their boards this summer. That night I went home, cleaned the apartment, cleaned my room, hung pictures and curtains in my room that have been sitting on my floor for the 6 months that I have been living there and then I decided I didn't like the way my room looked anymore. That's right ladies and gents, at 12:01 am Monday morning, I was rearranging my room. I would stop and stare and wonder where I wanted stuff and how I wanted it, so I did not finish this project of mine until about 1:30 am, which in turn means, I did not go to bed until 2 am. Crazy, I know. But, I'm one of those people, that once I start something, I have to finish it before I go to bed. It will drive me crazy if I don't. So while one roommate was fast asleep on the couch, and the other one watching movies, I was doing hard labor moving my bed and desk and tv all around my room.
Since I had been up so late the night before, I wanted to go to bed early last night. Well, that didn't happen. See, there is this stupid game on my phone and when I say stupid, I mean, you make this bird fly and try to miss the sticks in the air. But I have started this competition with one of my friends and she had this really high score that I have been trying to beat. Well, I did it. I passed her by a lot, but then when I told her, I got scared she was going to pass me, so what did I do? Yep, I played that stupid game last night trying to beat my high score. By this time I was wide awake and couldn't go to sleep until about 1:30. Line Birds. You should try it. It's addicting. Just sayin...
Anyway, my goal is to go to the gym tonight, do some Zumba, wear myself out and be in the bed by 9:00 tonight. I sure hope this plan of mine works, because if not, my grouchiness is going to start catching up with me sooner or later.

Bringin It Back
It's Throwback Thursday!! YAY! I'll get to that in just a minute, but I just wanted you to know that I have not forgotten about it, although it may seem that way.
And for my ramble session of the day:
Whoa, these last few days have been a complete whirlwind. I've taken on some extra responsiblities at work and things are really starting to pick up around that place, but I love it because I'm staying busy. I've been house sitting this week for a dear friend of mine, so things have been a little off course for me, but I'm making it work haha. It has been ridiculously HOT these last few days and I'm so thankful that I work in an air conditioned office. Those people that have to work outside all day in this heat are way better people than I ever will be. More power to 'em.
Ok, so Throwback Thursday...the day you've been deprived of for weeks now. Today calls for a picture and a song....
This is me when I was super duper skinny. Senior year of high school (2004). I was one of the fairies in the ballet Sleeping Beauty. This tutu was my absolute favorite of any tutu Mrs. Lynn ever designed. I LOVED it. Wish I could have bought it, but I don't know what I would have done with it. Dance was my passion for 18 years of my life. I lived in the dance studio. I grew up at the School of Dance Arts and I made some great friends and memories that will last a lifetime. I might not be involved anymore, but I still have a love and appreciation for dance, that only a dancer can understand and that is worth so much to me.
I'm sure you are wondering how I went from sweet ballerina to this...Goodies. Goodies was listed as #50 on the billboard charts my senior year of high school. I used to love this song. Now, I may have been a ballerina, but ballerinas can break it down too. I used to ride around listening to this song all the time and you better believe I knew all the words. And yes, ballerinas know how to shake their booty too....just sayin!
That's about all for today. I really can't think of much else. But I hope everyone stays cool out there and drink plenty of water. You're gonna need it!!
P.S. So excited for the midnight showing of Harry Potter tonight!!

Stupid Monday
You ever have those times where you toss and turn all night long, and then when the alarm goes off in the morning, you turn off all 3 alarms you have set and then everything from that point on just goes wrong? Welcome to my Monday. I've just learned to stay quiet and keep to myself when I get like this.
Anywho, I saw the movie Horrible Bosses the other night. It was funny, but it took it a while to get there and that movie will definately win the award for the number of times the F word was used. It really was unnecessary how many times they used it. But it was a pretty good movie. Sad thing is, people really do have crappy bosses like that in today's world.
I don't have too much else to say today, but a friend shared a quote today that I want to share with you before I finish up:
"I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles." -Audrey Hepburn (Thanks Ashley!!)

So Much to Do
Things have been so crazy lately. It's like I can't seem to get settled. I keep forgetting to do a Throwback Thursday, even more, I sometimes find it hard to blog. OMG, this cannot happen. At least my design is back the way I want it. I did go to the gym the other day and reached a goal of mine. It wasn't anything too big, but it was enough to mean something to me. I really like going to the gym and I do feel better about myself. Now that I'm started on a workout routine, I need to work on my eating habits. I'm considering consulting with a nutritionist. I've got to get things under control and I need to stop saying I'll do something and just do it.
I got my ticket to the Harry Potter movie, so I'll be sure and write a review after I see it. That's all I have for now. I'm boring these days...sorry guys. Is this what happens when you get old?
Oh and on a side note: As I was reading Whitney's blog, I ran across her new obsession, which in turn has become my new obsession: Princess Catherine's Wardrobe Watch-What Kate Wore. Whitney, if you're reading this, you were right. You warned me. I am now obsessed. Thanks! :)

Just a Recap
So my blog is still a mess and I was slack and did not do a Throwback Thursday last week. I'm so sorry to let you guys down. I will fix it all this week. And that's a promise.
So a few things to talk about today! I haven't been back to the gym since I got back from my cruise. Well, that changes today. I'm going back today and looking forward to Zumba. I've seen a big decrease in my energy level since I haven't been, so I need to get back at it today. And speaking of being back in the gym, one of the people that I look to for inspiration and motivation to get fit and healthy is Bree Boyce and well, yeah she won Miss South Carolina this weekend!! She is a great role model and inspiration to others, check out her platform and see how she's changing the world.
This weekend, I snuck off to Charleston to just get away and lay on the beach all weekend. It worked out pretty well for me. Emily and I were pretty lazy all weekend, but we made the best of our laziness, it's what we do best. Here's a few pictures:
I really don't have much else to talk about today. Weird. At least it's a 3 day work week! Have a great one!!
